Madelynn turned 10 months old on May 29th. Right after we returned from our Wisconsin trip she learned how to pull herself up for the first time, which happened to be in her pack n play. Since then she has been pulling up on everything and cruising the furniture.

Now we are having to re baby proof what we thought was fine for awhile. Such as the toy bin, now Madelynn is able to reach Hayden's toys. Maddy also can get up our step in our family room so the gates will go up this weekend as well. She doesn't get up the step every time but its only a matter of time. She's been trying to figure out how to lift her foot up onto the step. We think she will be walking sooner rather than later. Such a difference from our Hayden who was so laid back at her age.

Madelynn's other new tricks are saying "Dog" as I mentioned in a previous post. And she learned to point. She loves to point at things and try to tell us about them. It is cute to listen to her babble. We still have a toys r us balloon from Hayden's birthday which has a giraffe on it. She points to it and says "dog." I think she thinks anything that looks remotely like a dog is one. It's cute, she's definitely a fan of balloons.

Her favorite books are: The going to Bed Book and Moo Baa La La La, both by Sandra Boynton. She loves to be read to and will keep handing me books to read.

Maddy also loves music and loves to dance to it. It's so fun to watch her grow. And its amazing how fast this first year has gone. Before we know it she'll be 1 years old!
