Our Madelynn is 9 months old!

Maddy proud as can be:)

The "I'm not doing anything" look

Cowgirl Maddy!

Dear Madelynn

Yesterday you turned 9 months old. So much has changed with you in the past month, most noticeably to us is that you can really get around. You love to explore your surroundings and try out everything. Because you have been so very curious, Mommy and Daddy have baby proofed the house, moving coffee tables out of the family room and locking cabinets again. It seems that anything you shouldn't get into you want to touch.

You also learned to wave right around when you were 8 months old, and sometime after that you learned to clap. You love to clap your hands, you clap to music, you clap if we say "Yey good job!" You are still working on crawling, yesterday you crawled a little but you still prefer to scoot on your bottom.

We adore watching you explore your surroundings. When getting ready to leave, you love to play with Mommy's shoes. I wonder is this a sign of a future shoe lover? You also make a bee line for the dog bowls when in the kitchen. Not sure why you are so obsessed with them, except for the fact that you know you shouldn't be touching them. And oh when we pull you away from something you shouldn't be doing you let us know you are not happy about it.

Madelynn you are such a fun little girl to be around. I love when you scoot right towards me and launch yourself into my lap. I can't wait to see what you do next!

Love,
Mommy
